The 17th IEEE International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE 2006) -- Industry Practices (ISSRE 2006)
Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, 6-10 November 2006

Abstract

Of all software projects perhaps product sustenance projects are most confronted with the challenges of shorter release cycles. In a competitive market in a bid to deliver faster and more feature packed enhancement releases it’s crucial to have due diligence so that reliability of the product is not compromised. The presentation looks into how projects in Infosys are adopting Extreme Programming (XP) to deliver increasingly more robust products with ever shrinking deadlines and the benefits and pain points of using the same. This presentation also challenges further academic research to fulfill the need of the globalizing industry.
